I was teaching a 1-1 yoga session online this week when I noticed light cast across my body and onto the wall behind me. It was super distracting, surprisingly disorienting. Looking for the source of the glimmer, it took me a moment to remember the afternoon light that floods my office when the sun makes its presence known.
Proceed into the liminal space, through the shadows, and familiarity overtakes, a light bulb switched on, illuminating what we forgot was right in front of us. The entire energy of the room shifts. How easily we forget, and also remember.
