Thank you! And a question...
Thank you for being here! And thanks to everyone who has subscribed to Balance Practice. I’ve been writing this newsletter for over six months now, so it feels timely to take inventory.
Why are you here?
Naturally, I’m curious to hear how Balance Practice is landing with you. I want to honor and respect your time when you read (and hopefully practice) weekly, so please use this poll to share what kinds of posts you’re finding most practical and useful — I’ll keep this feedback in mind as I align what I can uniquely offer to what you’d most like to read, and as Balance Practice evolves along with you in the season ahead.
Please drop any additional feedback or requests in the comments below!
On my practice of creating this newletter
I started Balance Practice because I felt inspired to share (practical) practices to inspire and support balance. The topic is one that’s captivated me for many years — I’ve even written two books about it. This newsletter is, in many ways, an intersection and integration of my experience and skills as a writer, yoga and meditation coach, and balance practitioner the last 20 years. Up to this point, this offering has taken shape as poetry, questions, yoga practices… writings, prompts and gestures from me to you.Â
I haven’t used much of a content calendar or done much planning ahead. Instead, I create space each week to see what comes forward, sit with it, and translate those insights into words for you. It’s a practice of slowing down and paying attention to nudges of intuition, flashes of awareness, subtle recognitions — this is a practice I have come to love and respect.
Thank you!
Thanks again for being here — I hope that Balance Practice provides a weekly container for you to slow down, breathe deeply, and pay attention. And I hope that you practice and feel the difference as you move through your days, in the moments when it matters most.
