The pace toward the end of the year has a way of quickening — Can you feel it? — even as winter descends. Amid the action and inertia of wrapping things up and entertaining the festive season, your practice matters now more than ever. Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, invites us to pause. It’s a natural invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and pay attention. Marking this moment by nourishing yourself has a way of creating light when it’s in short supply.

and me, the Winter Solstice edition of savour x balance practice is a mini-retreat designed with the intention of finding balance and creativity through rest as we move into winter. We’ll explore how we can use yoga as a creative beginning to our writing, and writing as a means of harnessing our attention. This online event will consist of two parts: a gentle restorative yoga class from me, followed by a short creative guidance and writing workshop from Alice.It was a highlight to connect with many of you this year (in person!) at our seasonal yoga + writing practices at London’s lush Chelsea Physic Gardens. Tickets for these events went fast and we wanted to create something for more of you to savour this season and so we’re making our collaboration even more accessible by offering this online experience to our paying member communities.
Get cozy on your mat with your favourite notebook, tea, and blanket, light a candle, set up your space in whatever way feels right. We’ll send out the link to subscribers closer to the event — join live or watch the replay whenever you like.
