I set up this newsletter to share tools, insights, and prompts to inspire and support balance in the moments when you need it most. My weekly writing and yoga classes explore balance and unwind the notion that balance is perfection, an end goal, or ideal to strive for… (spoiler: it’s not). Balance is an accessible practice for all of us, an ever-evolving adjustment toward our own center. It only asks that we slow down, breathe deeply, and pay attention.

As a writer and yoga coach, I support all kinds of people to create their own practice. Over 20 years of working with clients to move into balance I can attest that you’ll get a lot more out of morning check-ins, relaxing as you work, or putting your legs up the wall than going to one random yoga class a week.

I’m Erin — I’ve been a writer and yoga coach for more than two decades. I write about balance, well-being, yoga, creativity, motherhood, and rest, and I create practical mental and physical entry points to well-being.
My latest book, Move, Rest, Recover is a practical guide to creating a restorative practice that truly works for you. My previous books include Hit Reset and Work IN, and I’m the founder of Athletes for Yoga, the only athlete-led, on-demand video platform + app. For the last two decades I’ve coached high performance athletes — from Olympians to Ironman champions — as well as everyday runners, pre- and post-natal women, corporate executives, and everyone in between to create their practice and use yoga for real.
