Reset your mind, body, and energy

As this month marks the first birthday of Move, Rest, Recover — my practical guide to rest and recovery — I’ve created a new set of restorative videos for you, inspired by favourite practices in the book. Use them to become more receptive to rest, to activate real recovery, and to strengthen your ability to reset when you truly need it the most.

First up: Grounding.

This 20-minute restorative practice helps us to slow down, wind down, calm down, settle down… to move our energy down and ground to ourselves. Featuring gentle twists and hip opening, nervous system-calming extended exhales, and a nourishing linger in child’s pose, use it any time you’re feeling frazzled, tired and wired, or ungrounded.

Grab your bolster, a few cushions or folded blankets (whatever props you have nearby will work just fine) and lean into rest. Practice and feel the difference.
